Paul Gradischnig

Software & Infrastructure Engineer · Initiator & Tech Lead at Valiora

HTL graduate (IT & Cyber Security) with a strong focus on software engineering, cloud, and system resilience. Through Valiora and a self-administered three-node homelab, I work hands-on across full-stack development, infrastructure as code, and AI. I combine coding with real cloud and networking architecture.

Experience

IT Intern & Diploma Thesis

KELAG · Carinthia

  • Independently built and tested a Chaos Toolkit extension for Azure Container Apps to improve cloud observability and system resilience.
  • Designed a sidecar approach to inject CPU/memory stress into serverless containers without host access, the core of my diploma thesis.
  • Shipped infrastructure as code with Azure Bicep and CI/CD via GitHub Actions.
Summer Intern

Kostmann GesmbH · Carinthia

  • Digitalized business processes, maintained data, and built/analyzed reporting.
IT Support Intern

Infineon Technologies · Villach

  • Supported hardware maintenance in cleanroom production and assisted the IT team with reporting.

Projects

Valiora · Initiator & Tech Lead
  • Platform that aggregates digital grocery flyers and finds the cheapest store for a shopping list. Built with Arbeiterkammer Kärnten, funded by Innovation@School.
  • Own the backend architecture and AI pipeline (flyer parsing, product normalization, semantic search); coordinate a three-person team.
Three-Node AI Homelab · Builder & Administrator
  • Proxmox cluster with a remote Hetzner QDevice for quorum, self-hosted AI (embeddings + vector DB, OpenCLAW), GPU sharing, and Wake-on-LAN over a WireGuard tunnel.
